4 Dallas area restaurants to try Golden Chick’s new vegan offerings


Based in Dallas Golden chick Joined the herbal scorching trend by testing a new product: the buzzy Beyond Chicken Tenders, which will be available in just four select Dallas-Fort Worth locations starting Monday, November 8.

Golden Chick executive chef J. Sullivan said in a statement that the food industry is changing and adapting, and they are rolling with it by offering a plant-based menu item.

“With this new creation, we can infuse our beloved Golden Chick flavors into an option that can make you see plant-based meat differently,” Sullivan said.

The test is hosted on four DFW sites:

  • Garland Lavon: 2702 Lavon Drive.
  • Irving Regent: 3511, boulevard Regent, 100
  • Garland / Jupiter: 2172 N. Jupiter Rd.
  • Fort Worth: 2820 E. Berry St.

They’ll be offering it in a combo meal, along with four offerings, a side dish, a 30-ounce beverage, and a yeast roll for $ 9.59.

Customers can also substitute chicken fillets in their meal or mix and match their order for an additional charge of 50 cents per plant-based fillet.

The new Beyond Meat offering is made with vegetable protein, contains 14 grams of protein per serving and is GMO-free. This is one of the hottest new herbal introductions in 2021.

Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the new herbal offering is a variation of a classic dish and is made with simple plant-based ingredients.

“Over the past year, we have planned and researched the best products to create a premium herbal offering,” said Mark Parmerlee, president and president of Golden Chick. “We are delighted to broaden the appeal of our menu to include customers. who prefer herbal options. Our Beyond Chicken Tenders taste so good that they can be enjoyed by chicken lovers as well as vegetarians.

The test will run from November 8 to January 2, 2022. Based on the test results, they hope to launch the offer more widely across the chain in 2022.

Dallas is also currently one of only four markets in the United States that serves as a test market for the new McPlant, the vegan burger collaboration between Beyond and McDonald’s.

Burger King has teamed up with Impossible, whose Impossible burger it started selling in 2019. Burger King is currently trial Impossible Nuggets, their plant-based “chicken” nuggets, in Des Moines, Boston and Miami.
