Rubio’s Coastal Grill will offer cauliflower rice
On July 14, Rubio’s Coastal Grill will offer cauliflower rice to restaurants in California, Arizona and Nevada. Offering a healthy plant-based option to customers, the new menu option aligns with Keto, Whole 30, Paleo, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Vegetarian food preferences.
With health benefits, lower calories and carbs compared to rice, cabbage rice is available for an additional $ 2 as a substitute for rice in any of Rubio’s bowls and burritos. It can also be ordered as an accompaniment to a starter or a meal for children.
“Rubio customers are incredibly savvy when it comes to cooking and appreciate being able to order personalized meals based on their wellness goals,” says Rubio co-founder Ralph Rubio. “When cabbage rice is replaced with rice in our California bowl, cabbage rice is just 130 calories with 7 net carbs per serving. It’s an easy swap that tastes delicious with great health benefits.
Made from cauliflower in rice cooked with fresh cilantro, lime juice, lemongrass and sea salt, Rubio Cabbage Rice is the perfect complement to Rubio’s iconic Mexican flavors. Cabbage rice is a functional, nutrient-dense food that contains antioxidants, such as vitamin A and C, fiber, potassium, and calcium.
